Story 2 (working title, A Place Just Right) by Jean A. Niedert explores the return to life after a departure caused by war and death.

Sophy faces the emptiness when she returns home. Her impulse is to leave, but her trusted companion suggests she stay to mourn and rest.  She faces her familiar boundaries and the disorder from actions left undone by her constant fugitive run to avoid loss.  Individuals arrive in Sophy's awareness and Sophy makes a choice. What is she willing to remember and how will she respond?
